NATOG

The Nigerian Association of Teachers of German (NATOG) was formed in 1987, at an inaugural meeting held at the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, with seventeen lecturers present. NATOG was formed in order to foster cooperation between the lecturers in German in the universities, where German is taught either as a degree program or as an elective, and the teachers in language schools and similar institutions.
